Here is a link to a sight with load data for .50 BMG with a .308 bullet in a sabot. They claim 5200+ fps. I would have to see it (from a distance) to believe it. http://www.derbyfals.com/sabot_load_data.htm I also found this link to an article where Gale McMillian says do NOT use sabots in a fifty. http://yarchive.net/gun/rifle/50bmg_sabot.html Even if a person could fire a sabot round with the shooter and rifle surviving, the bullet couldn't withstand a 5000+ velocity. Centrifigal force would tear the bullet apart in flight. At least that is my uneducated opion. Gus H. |

If you remove the muzzle brake wouldn't all kinds of bad things happen on the other end?hinkidiot shooter would have thier shoulder sperated from the rest of the body. I agree with you, just had to have a little fun. Gus H. |
