I have a 22LR YHM Mite suppressor.  It came with anti-seize lube which I applied liberally to the threads before screwing it back together.  I must have shot too many rounds through it because try as I might, I can't get the cap off.

Any suggesting on how to get this thing apart without damaging it?

A bit of heat sometimes helps. Runa few mags through it then try taking it apart.

I found a few suggestions in previous post (after searching though the archive).  I'll give them a try.

Here are the posts in case anyone else is interested.

I had  the same issue before. You must put the disassembly tool in a vice, take the supressor and using a propane torch even heat the area where the threads are put it on the tool and then use a strap wrench to open it. I would say that 15-20 seconds of heat should be enough.

The easiest thing to do is fill a jar with WD or PB Blaster and dip the can in.

Wait a couple hours and it should spin right off no problem.

Sometimes a little penetrating oil goes a long way.

Heat the can and place the disassembly tool in your vice.  Turn the can and it should break free.

If not, soak in Kroil and try again.

mine did the same thing.  250rds thrru it and it won't open up for cleaning.

I tryed it in the vice, can't get enough torque.  Tryed heating it in the toaster oven @ 300F, and still stuck.  I don't have a strap wrench.

I called YHM and they said they would fix it for free if I piad shipping on the way back.

Go to lowes, they have a set of two Kobalt strap wrenches for under 15$.

Put the small one on the can and the large one on the wrench. You might need an extra set of hands to help you get both of them on.

should be able to twist it apart with some effort. I usually do mine every 300-400 rounds and it works fine.
