Depends on date mfg, type of finish, configuration, any mods/damage, cond, todays desirability, etc. A Winchester and/or cowboy type site would be a good place to seek more info...

i have a #8......., by your grading, a Win M-94, made in 1937ad have owned it over 40 years, my first "High Power" rifle..., was offered $500...........

i laffed at the poor guy as he stood there scratching his aaaaaaaah..., ear !!

Leeside go to www.savage99.com/dates.htm You will find the info there is what you are seeking... by ser# they will tell you the year of manu. mine turns out to be a much used 1974 year... good hunting . bob cole

If it's a pre-64, it's worth a few bucks to a collector. I believe you can check out when it was made at Winchesters website. http://www.winchester-guns.com/
