How are the modern 1885 rifles?  Are they still made in Japan?  I am thinking of one in 45-70, what kind of groups can I reasonably expect? Thanks!

From what I have gathered talking to my Father, who is a big time BPCR shooter, they are very good rifles.  75% of good shooting of these weapons is the shooter.  I shot the last NRA BPCR match at Friendship with an IAB Italian sharps and placed ahead of folks with Ballards

I've got a Browning 1885 BPCR. Love it.

I have a Browning B-78 in 22-250 that has taken prairie dogs that were very far away.
