I ran across this article from Sierra Bullets and thought others would find it interesting. It addresses the age old question of why reloading manuals differ in their load data:

There's really no mystery as they pointed out.

However, what they don't mention is Sierra does not use pressure barrels and pressure testing equipment. They fire their loads in standard rifles then "read" the brass cases for pressure signs.
