Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Where Serial Number Lookup?

Bought my first AR today at the Indianapolis gun show.  It is Model MT6700 Competition HBAR.  Does anyone know anything about this gun?  It is a flattop with carry handle/sight included.  I think I got a good deal.  THe serail number seems a little low (31XXX)  DOes this mean anything?  I assume it is postban but how would I know?  Is there a listing somwhere that explains?  Anyone that know anything about this gun I would appreciate the info!  Thanks much.

Thanks, that helped a little I guess.  Does the "competition" in the name really mean anything or is it their standard descriptor?  The Colt website is piss poor.
