What do you realisticly think you someday would like to aquire for your collection? I always have a running list in my head. I modify it constantly, usually when some gun rag writes an article on something. Some I know I can't afford now, but realisticly I know that someday I might own one. I sometimes cheat myself by buying something similar, but cheaper; for instance, I would love an M1A, but just bought a Cetme(both .308 battle rifles).

Here is my top 10 "current" want list:
Spingfield M1A
Martini actioned rifle in .219 Donaldson Wasp
Rem870 tactical shotgun
Kimber 1911 .45
Ruger MKII Gov.
French 49/56
Ruger No.1 in .404 Jeffery
Rossi pump .22mag with octogon barrel
Ak-74 varient-SAR 2
1861-2 cartridge conversion revolver

I know it is a kind of eclectic list, but so is my collection; little bit of everything. What is it you dream of owning?

Edited to add: If you already own all of these, and I know some of you probably do, please don't tell me, I will only want to make little paper targets with your name on them!

Ain't that the truth. I have purchased two rifles recently that were not on my wishlist the last time this thread came around. I keep my wish list fluid and adaptable.

At the moment, I'm looking forward to getting a SAR-2 to do the full AK-74 treatment on.

I wouldn't wait very long to do it. The SAR 2s won't last forever and the gettin's good right now as far as mags and ammo go.

Here's my list:

1. M1 Garand

I'm not hard to please. I'll never have one, because I can't justify spending $700+ on something I'll only handle a lot and fire a few times. It would be fun to handle and to study. It is fun to dream though.z
Link Posted: 7/24/2002 4:36:15 PM EDT

1. M1a
2. 9MM AR
3. Kimber 1911 CDP

I'll assume the list shouldn't include what we already own? So here's my additions;
1)14"bbl Wilson Border Patrol 12gauge
2)Winchester '97 Trench gun
3)S&W 625 45ACP 4" bbl
4)MP5
5)Browning BL92 or Winch Legacy in .357mag
6)a nice "shooter" English style SxS 12 gauge
7)that nifty new .22 rimfire unit for Glocks
8)colt lightning in .38
9)an old Sauer drilling...12ga over .308
10)more preban ARs
Stay safe
Link Posted: 7/24/2002 8:53:58 PM EDT
We All Know I Am Cheap, so my list is short:

1) Another .38 snubby, voted the firearm Most Likely To Be On My Person When The SHTF, preferably a hammerless airweight.

2) 2 more Post-Ban 16" Barrelled AR's in .223 with Y-comp Muzzle brakes and decent (not sniper, just battle) accuracy characteristics

3) Remington 870, preferably Wilson Combat in either 18" or 20" (Not picky) with extended magazine.

4) 1911A1 pattern pistol of decent quality in .45acp that takes colt parts (Thinking RIA, any thoughts?)

5) Any bolt-action rifle made by Holland & Holland (As if I could AFFORD something like that) in .30-06 or heavier.

6) A Glock 17 with a few hi-caps

And finally, the firearm I've always wanted but probably won't be able to afford until I am very very old:

7) A 1928 Thompson Submachine Gun (NFA Transferable) in at LEAST shootable condition, so that I might own a tiny piece of history.

That's it. Everything else is just something I'd like to have at the moment...could come and go at anytime.

My wish is as follows;

1) General electric mini gun on a Blackhawk Platform.

That is all!!!
Link Posted: 7/25/2002 9:56:05 PM EDT
DSR-1

fyi, it's not restricted to military. Civilians can own them, but costs big $$. As much as an M16, I think.
Link Posted: 7/25/2002 10:18:47 PM EDT
Next purchase.

Vector Uzi

After that.

Qualified HK Sear and a 51 to go with it.

That should easily eat up all my "firearm" funds for the next year :(

If the WorldCom stock I buy goes up:

M16

.500 Linebaugh single action stainless w/ real ivory grips

Have Marlin build me a lever action .500 or .475 Linebaugh

If WorldCom takes a crapper, realistically:

10mm M4grey
Kimber .45 Gold Match Stainless
AK47
Remington 870 magnum
Colt Magnum Carry
NIB Colt Green Label
Remington PSS .300 Win Magnum

--------------------------------------------
uh, just all the parts to make a GE mini-gun costs over $36,000 thats just the gun, not with all the legal BS, taxes and lisense's

And the most I want to ever see a transferable M16 go for is $9,000, thats 9,000+ 5.00tax+ cost to ship through a class3 dealer.
Link Posted: 7/26/2002 2:38:18 AM EDT
I love this, so many people want so many weapons that I have including M1 Garands (Gots lots of theses ) M1 carbines, 03A3s, heck, even my 'ol .455 Webley, though I really need another cylinder for it so I can chop that one to accept .45 auto in clips.
[/bragmode off/]

What I want? More M1s, More Carbines

But mainly, A nice AR, all one manufacturer, a good manufacturer, colt, bushy, Rock river. (And C-Mags)
Dual CZ 85s two tone
A Glock, I really want a Glock

But my top 2, I want an M16 and an M14, all original, Full Auto, and cases if ammo, a nice round number of cases, 100 maybe
Everythign I want is low ticket it seems, except the M14, I have heard there are not many of them at all and a '16 is about $5K right? I need a better job
