I just picked up a preban Bushmaster and the lower and stock tube are as purple as they come.
Did I read here that Bushmaster would redo them or am I dreaming? Are the purple ones better?

Thanks!

It's not too bad if the upper and lower match. It clashes with my sofa though.

Those Purple Bushies will be valuable someday as they made them in limited quantities...

I think I might have one of these "Barney Bushies"!! So what's the story with them? Why did Bushmaster finish these lowers differently?

I have a gray lower from 1989. I 'd like to find a gray A2 upper, although that would be like finding a hen's tooth. Any value on the gray ones?

Here's a purple one - oh wait! No, it just looks purple in the pic. This is what it WOULD look like if it were really purple though (it's black as can be in person).

Mine's Purple
I've been thinking about sending it to DPMS, they can re-anodize them for about $45
