Hi,
I've got over 9 pounds of Reloader 7 left over since I sold my 458 SOCOM upper. What other loads use R7? What can I do with it if it's not something I normally load? It doesn't seem practical to sell it on the net because of shipping costs. I saw that someone was trying to load 300 BLK with it, but was advised against it. Does anyone use R7 for 223 Rem? I'm getting ready to add that caliber. Your input is greatly appreciated. J |

RE-7 works really well in .223 loads, using 55gr and lighter bullets. Very accurate. Works great with .30-30 loads also. Check out page 6 here. |

One of my pet loads that produces consistent sub MOA results for me is 22g RE-7 under 55g Nosler BTs. That is a very warm load, Work up carefully, Sierra list 21.5gr max (in ARs, it may be O.K. in bolt actions). 21.5 gr with a Rem 7 1/2 primer is a great accuracy load in several guns. Note: Marine 78's load is 0.5gr below max in Sierra's bolt action data. |

Click http://www.alliantpowder.com/products/default.aspx Then click on "Rifle", "Reloader 7" and "View All Reloader 7 Recipes". That's a good start. Bob |

Sierra also use a .223 chambered Colt rifle and not a 5.56 chamber, this is why Sierra's data is lower than even Hornady's. |

Some 223 data is from Sierra.. Sadly, it doesn't list 40gr.
Bolt action data is a little warmer and list the 40gr bullet. |
