Loaded up some more spreads/workups for my .270 Win long range fudd caliber rifle 150 gr Berger Hybrid Target bullets, CCI BR2 primers, N160 and Peterson brass. I have the new 1/8 twist barrel at 250 rounds or so now, going to start working up some loads with the 170 gr Bergers soon as well. |

I got into Zone 2 cardio today decapping .45ACP on my 650: Attached File I put a plastic storage tub on the floor to catch the brass as it comes down that cardboard “channel iron” chute. I got about half way through when I glanced over and my Dillon universal decapping die was missing its decapping pin.  I had a spare Dillon universal decapper. So like 5 minutes later I was back in business. I reached into my “out box” to grab random pieces of brass. Sure enough the primers were still in a good chunk. So I dumped my “out box” into my “in box” and started all over again. There is something to be said about standing to the right of the 650 and cranking the handle with my left arm. I can keep my eye on the decapping pin. EDIT: they are in the FART now. |

More 44 mag case prep today. Emptied wet tumbler, put cases on try to dry in the sun. Had more Starline cases in this batch, so sized, trimmed, and primed enough cases to fill a 100 rd box. Sized, trimmed, and primed 50 FC nickel cases and put into 50 rd box. Once I settle on a light 44 mag rifle load, I'll be ready. |

Decaped about a hundred steel Berdan cased 7.62x39. Dug out my ammo can of steel cases and had some steel cases already primed, so should have a batch of around 500 when everything is primed. Bought a life time supply of Berdan primers back when they were available. Want to load these on the 1050 before I change to another caliber. |

Loaded some Berdan primed steel cased 7.62x39 on the 1050 today. Placing sized primed case at station 5 (powder measure), then M die, seater and crimp die. I was short on the 155 gr PC cast bullets sized to .312 I intended to load, so got 240 loaded. Bottle was labeled sized in 7-2016, so vintage bullets. Loaded 15 grs of 2400, seated in crimp grove, and crimped with a FCD. This is about a 3/4 power load and functions AK's and AR's just fine. A fun load you can let a beginner shoot. |

Found a few more bullets, and some cases sized and primed in 2012. So finished my batch of 7.62x39, cast PC bullet loads. Now time to set up 1050 in 30-30. But brass prep first. Have about 1.2k 30-30 deprimed and wet tumbled. 2 batches; RP about 900 or so, Win about 300. So as time permits I will size and dry tumble lube off. Then trim with Giraud before loading. |

Sized all of my Win headstamp 30-30 brass. About 300-400. Half the batch took 3 dry tumblers to remove the lube. Emptied and got the rest of the batch tumbling. Got all of the RP sized, 900-1000. |

Took the last half of the Win batch out of the 3 dry tumblers. Trimmed them all on the Giraud, there were 315. Finished first part of the RP 30-30, started second group. One part to do left. |

I went to the Amateur Trapshooting Association’s Grand today. I bought an 8 pounder of Winchester 244 powder. Grabbed an ammo can, out of the cellar, that is about half full of .40-ish cal boolits that I casted about 15 years ago, but did not size. All I had for Lee push through bullet sizers that was close was a .401”. So I sized maybe 150 of them. Got tired of that red plastic doohickey, so I did this: Attached File WWWEEEEEEeeeee!!! Attached File I am trying “zombie green” this time. They are currently in the toaster oven. I’m thinking they might need 2 coats, maybe. |

Finished trimming the last of the batch of RP, 30-30 brass. What I guessed was 800-900 was really 641. As the case came out of the trimmer it was set into a loading block. So every 50 got a scratch on a tally sheet. that way I got a count. Counted for my own curiously, and it makes knowing how many primer tubes to load. Found some Win 30-30 brass that had been wet tumbled and set aside. (inside a 50 cal can marked 30-30 brass) So will process these next, before setting up Giraud in 300 blk. |

Fish & Game on way home agaion, same fella that been blazing HORNADY 308 there again.. waited him out till he left, and raid barrel again for his 308 empties, seems to do once a week, so come home with pile again, and pile last week, and few time prior Somebody left x39, got most of them during last week or so... dont need anymore 9mm |

Sized all but 50 30-30 cases and ran out of time. Had a reloading session with Shooter 709 to go to where he loaded 45 Colt on his 550. I did get 3 dry tumblers going delubing about half the batch. He changed from plated bullets to cast SWC's. He wanted to try another powder so I suggested Trail Boss. His Easy Dial was set for a charge of 8.0 grs Power Pistol, setting was 5.01. By the time we had 5.5 grs of Trail Boss dropping, the setting was 10.52. As usual the Trail Boss was dropping exact charges after we had the PM aqdjusted. A tuned Dillon PM is a pleasure to use with ball and flake powder. |

Finished trimming my last batch of Win (headstamp) 30-30. Totaled 341. Now have 1k RP and 641 Win ready to load. Time to dig out some bullets, and decide what cases to set aside to form into 30-30 AI and 7-30 Waters. |

Another afternoon of casting. 44 cal 255 gr SWC, clone of Lyman 421429. (Elmer Keith's favorite 44 mag bullet) 40 cal 200 gr, great 10mm bullet. These are both Accurate 5 gang aluminum molds. 9mm 120 gr Truncated cone. 30 cal 155 gr 2r. Sized to .310 for 300 blk supers, sized to .312 for 7.62x39. Last two are both 6 gang Lee molds. Made a mold guide from 2x4's and scrap, works great. Goes without saying all of these will be powder coated. |

| All I did was purchase some Nosler Partition .308 180 grs bullets at the gun show pretty cheap. Did buy a ton of loaded ammo and new sights and red dots for some new MOS glocks though. Been an expensive month all around… |

Continued casting day before yesterday. Took a break from casting yesterday and trimmed and deburred 410 Sig 300 blk cases I got from AR. Then started on the batch of AAC 300 blk, trimming them. |

Finished trimming and deburring 300 AAC 300 blk brass. Placed gas checks on the 30 cal 155 gr 2r bullet, about 1500, and ran them through the APP to seat them. Have about 100 left that had flash on the base not allowing gas checks to seat. Will work on them later. |

I have about 50 cartridges loaded using the Berry's Hybrid Hollow Point in 45 ACP. If all goes well, I will get to fire them over an optical chronograph tomorrow. I'll use a paper target as a point of aim, so I don't happen to accidentally shoot the thing <-- Oops, how did I do that? |

I shot a bunch in the last few weeks. Some M193 clone loads with Remington bullets that are not known to be accurate. I was happy to blast mags of them away testing my AZ Regulator. I shot a bunch of 124gr RMR 9mm loads with 231. Hundreds of them through several different pistols. I love these. I bought 3000 more of these, just to keep up with my habit for the rest of the year. Today I was just out for a calm, relaxing, slow fire day, at the outdoor range. My brass was mostly landing around the 4 to 5 o'clock position, two lanes down. The guy at that lane was a reloading brass hound and he was stealing almost all of my brass, over 80 percent of it. I am only mentioning this because: DON'T BE THAT GUY! My neighbor was one of the range masters this day and I mentioned this to her loud enough that that brass thief could hear it. She saw it happening too. It was at least 3x loaded 9mm brass, so I didn't care that much, I just wanted to make a point. I picked up the range bucket by my lane and recovered discarded once fired brass to make myself even.  She was OK with this. If he had been stealing my .300AAC brass that I worked myself, it would have been a different outcome. I have been out of line on this forum before, but the only people stealing brass at the range are reloaders. Just stop doing it, or at least ask the shooter next to you if they reload, rather than help yourself to their brass. Cheers!  |

I shot a bunch of the Berry's Bullets Hybrid Hollow Point bullets today. I have chrono data. All I can say at this point is, they are slower than all the bare lead and coated bullets I have. I also did some 600 yard shooting but good grief it was windy. The wind made for a BEAUTIFUL day outdoors but wrought havoc on my groups sizes. I never adjust for wind when testing, I just make a note of the conditions. |
