What was those carrying handle mounted sights used on the M16's in Black Hawk Down?

I'm almost positives that what it is.  I've paused the scene and went through it in slow motion.

The CompM was not out by the time of BHD (1993), so it would have been the previous model, the Comp (no "M").  Of course, for the MOVIE, they were probably using CompMs, which were officially adopted as the M68 optical sight.
