If I where to purchase one or both in pistol version and then form1 SBR, what would it take to place a collapsable stock.  Is it  a simple change the  of the stock like on a 94 or is there more to it.

It's a simple change, although you may find issues with Vector's receivers being somewhat out of spec vs    the tolerances of any given retractable stock, but it's usually not too big a deal.

The G3 stocks when used on a V51 need a mod done to the recoil rod.  Vector can sell you the modded stock for $240 or you can send one in to them and they'll mod it for $60.  I just ordered one of them from another vendor (for only $154 shipped) and they'll mail it directly to Vector for the mods.
