I hope this is the right place but i'm thinking that i'd like to get a chrono to start checking my reloads.
I've never used one and don't really know much about em. Can you guys guide me to a good one to start with and maybe some place to gain some knowledge? Thanks Paul |

Not much to'em - but it'll help with your handloading enormously. I've got a Chrony Beta Master model - with the external display as I can place it right on the bench next to me - huge plus. Nothing bad to say, and its one of the best "cheap" investments for all the money we dump into rolling your own. Chrony brand parts are easily available direct from the company, as well as the option to "upgrade" your current unit to a higher end model down the road if you so desire. Check the usual dealers - Midway and such for sales. For under $150 its a heck of a piece of equipment. |
| They are a great tool and necessary for long range shooting. One thing to keep in mind is that the cheaper models (which is all you need) are not going to be perfectly accurate. They will be able to give you a good average to work with, but don't get to caught up in chasing a low ES with them. Do your best to create uniform, concentric ammo and be done with it. |
