My buddy has an Uzi and he swears it says that it is made in Austria. Has anyone heard of this? I have only heard of the ones made in Isreal.
He says it is a Model D. I  think he means B. Any info until I get pics from hiim will help.

ETA: he will be selling it as soon as we can identify it.

Chinese had a copy too. Can't remember who the mfg was. Haven't heard of a Australian one. Guess it could be possible.

Uzi is so easy to build up who knows where some may have originated -- many rumors exist of "clean" weapons and/or bogus markings. Of course, gun store commandos could be steering me wrong...

As for manowar's comment, reminds me of conversation with Deutsche business acquaintance at breakfast in Chicago:
