Couple questions about trusts:

I'm currently in a trust with some old friends, but I barely ever talk to them anymore so I was going to get another trust with just my family. What's a good deal on a good trust in GA?

Current trust is in AL, and some trustees will be in AL. How does multiple state trusts work? If I transfer my supressor from my AL trust (that I am currently in) to my GA trust (that I want to get), are there any gotchas?

.? What.
If you transfer any NFA item you get to pay $200 again.
Your trust or someone else's. If it is not your trust you don't have control over what happens to the items held within it.
How are you listed within the trust ? Grantor, Grantee, Trustee, Benificery ?

Yes, I am aware of that. Both are/will be my trusts. One I am in with some buddies, and one I will be in with family. I know I have to get a new stamp to transfer, that's not my question. Just wondering if there were any gotchas, particularly related to the trusts being in two different states.

Or, since I'm in the military and will probably leave the military to live in AL at some point, would it be better to do an AL trust since my home of record is in AL even though I love in GA and another trustee is a GA resident?

Edit I believe I am a trustee in the trust I am currently in, and the one who placed the supressor into the trust.

In general I do not believe there is a problem however you will need to bone up on Trust rules in AL. Just in case.
Lawyer question... Transferr of trust to another state....? You may be able to keep the current Trust name and just change the address. After all no one knows it exists except you and the ATF.  I would think as long as State Trust rules are not violated you could just do a change of address with the ATF and move. Most States do not require Trusts of that nature to be recorded. If that is the case you could save the $200 transfer to a new trust.

Edit: recorded or not. I think it is just a change of address notification with ATF.
