Tornado Tech

+1, he does good work. He's just not very good at replying to E-mails, you'll have better luck calling them.

Tornado's a great place, he's just moved his shop though, so might be a bit backed up.  I'd still send him anything you got to work on as his work's great.

Might check out ADCO too if you're in a hurry, they do great work too.

You mean a Ruger 22/45?  Also consider the Tactical Solutions Pac-Lite uppers.  A little more money, but it is a light-weight threaded upper that makes for a very nice suppressor host.  My 22/45 with the can weighs less than just the 5" bull barrel upper from my Mark II.

Yea 22/45 not 22/55. hoseI guess I could buy one and sell my upper that would pay for most of it.

Yep, the Pac-Lite uppers are $285.

Tornado Tech is up and running now but he is catching up with work. It's gonna be 3-4 weeks the turn around instead of like before.

Tornado is real backed up.  My SPR has been sitting there for a while.

I have an ADCO barrel on my M92.. It's a great thread job.

M60Joe.com is a good source too.  He's quick.  Turn-around in under 10 days.

How long did he take to turn the work around?

His prices seem really good on the thread adaptor jobs.  Real good.

How much did this cost?
I know the threading is like $54.00 but the cost with moving the sight along with threading a barrel.

I sent that guy an e-mail and never got a response.  It was a letdown.

FWIW: I have had Tornado do a couple for me like that.
I had a MK.II Ruger done where he moved the front sight back. I also had a Ruger 10/22 done where he machined the barrel on the gun to two different diameters. He then took a factory 10/22 barrel, cut the part with the front sight on it off, bored out and threaded it, and then screwed that on my gun so I had an iron front sight while then having a smaller diameter thread at the end for the suppressor. Very neat work. Obviously the front sight screws on and is vertical when it hits the end of the threads.

Low and behold I did find it.

What the hell?  I'm glad I didn't miss that message.  Thanks for the tip.

He's $100 lower than my alternate source for Beretta 21A barrel threads in 1/2x28.

At that price instead of losing my shirt, I can move the gun to the customer at a lower price and make money.

The guy mentioned above - High Desert Dog - was a HUGE seller on ebay with a perfect score for years..... until ebay cancelled all gun part auctions.  I've bought from him before.  You'll like this guy.  He's got lots of barrels and other goodies in stock and will customize your stuff if you send it in.
