Similar to my Sig P6, this is done in Duracoat AUG Green and Combat Black.

I got tired of this pistol rusting on me, so I decided to refinish this sucker since I like it quite a bit.

Thanks. However, factory for me included rust on the slide, since I had the old crappy finish on mine (Made in 04 if I remember correctly).

Actually you got me thinking, if you got a two tone from Springer, I wonder if the grip sleeve extensions would match the gun or not? I only had black ones, even with the mags I had ordered separately. I don't remember there even being a color choice.

I had some trouble with the Combat Black duracoat not applying evenly. The first P6 I did came out beautiful, but every subsequent time I have sprayed the black I have had trouble. It is hard to tell from the photo, but I had to lightly rub the black slide b/c the duracoat went on "rough" for lack of a better term.

Thanks for the compliments... It is definitely not factory, and no more rust for me!

Excellent job on the finish!

Only time I run into trouble with the rough finish, is if I have some moisture in the line, or a humid environment.

But it looks great!!!

Looks great!  I'd like to try some of that Duracoat on my '04 XD too.
