Quoted: OP glad you like the specs and as you can see not tons of blems, no ultra low unusable specs and YES these are ALL autogated tubes. And finally YES they come with a data sheet with all the standard accessories. Orders still pouring in for these systems and a lot of happy customers for the price. Enjoy and thanks for all the business! View Quote Thanks again! Been putting this off for the better part of a decade. Next sale needs to be some dovetail accessories though. This J arm bullshit is whack |

Quoted: So it's either a $120 Rhino II and included J-arm that wobbles and can fall off or a $450 g24 and $200 j-arm for a tight fit. NV is expensive. View Quote Or a new Rhino II from eBay for $80, a dovetail socket for the rhino II from TNVC and a Norotos dual dovetail for $150. All for less than the cost of a G24. |

And the Rhino II on ebay in titanium is the right one? It's all so confusing.. |

You can remove just the lug socket and replace it with a similar piece called a PVS15/PVS-18 socket which is designed to accept dovetail style mounts, like the Norotos Dual Dovetail Adapter, which is great. https://tnvc.com/shop/norotos-pvs-15-pvs-18-socket-for-aka2-mount/ |

I bit the bullet and ordered a g24 and wilcox j arm. As someone already mentioned, these mounts hold their value well. I'll almost certainly be adding either a 2nd 14 or a Breach down the road. At that point, I'll just sell the j arm, buy a bridge and be gtg. |

You get an estimated wait time on the order? @DV8EDD It took me a couple of days to pull the trigger on my 14, so I'm looking at 8-10 weeks before I'll need a mount. Worst case I buy the cheapest used rhino I can find and make do with that until the g24 arrives. I placed an order with kosher surplus. I was able to upgrade to the j arm with on/off and still come out $40 cheaper. They have both the g24 and j arm listed as being in stock. |

So I’m one week in on my wait for the JRH WP HP tube. This is my first dive into NV. So... the standard included J-arm and G11 I just ordered from TNVC is going to be a wobbly bitch?
Edit: also what DBAL should I be looking at? Or ATPIAL-C? Any other units? Totally nv noob |

Totally nv noob I went with the DBAL-D2, since everyone says it has a better illuminator. But, it also weighs a little more, if that matters to you. @AstraPat I'm new to this also and I've been trying to research and understand this stuff, gets confusing. I had a helpful chat with Bill at TNVC and Augee made a post earlier today that resonated with me. Spoiler - I ended up with a DBAL D2 and a clicky tailcap with my Surefire Scout white light. I ordered a unity hot button for the D2, I think it will be ergonomic with how I shoot. This will leave me a button for the D2, and a separate button (in a different area) for the white light. Two buttons, easy for a new guy. @Augee made a comment that keeping the two activation points physically separate will reduce chances of hitting your white light by accident. Makes sense, I've actually hit my white light by accident in day classes. That would be a huge liability in a night setting, particularly under NODs. D2 is 12 ounces but the illuminator is said to be great on this vs other options. Good IR illumination is a necessity in this application and I will hunt with it so I want range. The D2 visible laser and IR laser are slaved so I can zero it during the day and be ready to shoot it at night. Again, good for a NODs noob who has shooting experience. It was also on sale and in stock. I considered a combo of laser and separate IR light but felt D2 was the path of least resistance, simpler for a new guy. Going the other route would mean maybe two lights (one IR and one white) plus the laser so then I have three separate things on my gun instead of two. I want to simplify as I train up but I want to retain a white light on my gun. The next question is what the fuck do I do about iron sights? I got a T2 AND lasers, do I even keep them on my gun and what do I do about the front sight!?!? |

A Co. Hardware has the correct diameter Roll Pins, but they are twice as long - a cutting wheel or Bench Grinder works fine. I actually never reinstalled the front Roll Pin, never was even close to ever going that far out + tethered anyway.

View Quote Thanks, was definitely one of the options. I see them on the EE from time to time also. Honestly I always have irons on my guns, even like shooting with them sometimes, but got thinking about the chances that a T2 AND a laser would both go down. Got to be a slim chance but it maybe best not to tempt fate |
