It certainly has gotten testy in here recently.  Discussion and disagreement are great if they help expose differences in methods, results, causes, corrective actions, or are in any other way productive relative to the objectives of the original poster's question(s).

Of late, however, I've read a LOT of posts that are just down-right offensive and counter-productive.

Guys, it's supposed to be a technical forum not a pissing contest.  Act like adults - be on your best behavior.

Seems to me, when things got away from the technical side and got testy, I stepped in.

As long as a disagreement stays civil, I let the thread run.

Some posters like to argue, I let them as long as the conversation is friendly.

Even thought the seating length/pressure argument has been done several times I let it be discussed again.

I hate seeing it. We can disagree and explain our thoughts and rationals without it becoming insulting.
