Call Taurus. I broke a frame on a PT22 by shooting Stingers thru it even though the manual said no hyper velocities. They replaced it no questions asked. They would like to see it for thier investigation too. Let the ammo people know too but I'd give the pistol to Taurus first. American Ammo in the clear plastic I'm guessing?

I looked at the Taurus web site, and they have an unlimited lifetime warranty.

Is it my imagination, or does the 40 S&W have a greater tendency to KABOOM than other pistol calibers?

I've heard that the 40 S&W does not stand up to reloads as well as other cartridges. Obviously, all I have is anecdotal evidence!! [>Q]
