I was cleaning out the bathroom reading material today and found a two year old Tapco catalog.  They had alot of FAL stuff.  At the time I didn't care about getting a FAL now that I'm having one built it would be nice to have some of these parts.  What happened to Tapco? Did they run out of FAL parts?

When all the imbel parts kits being scooped up by the ATF, I think that ended the great parts kit builds for awhile.  I think Tapco just made a discision to move on.  They still have alot of parts advertised, and I bet if you call them there are things they have they might not advertise.
I have always had great dealings with Tapco, and would purchase from them again.  They have to stay in business, and maybe FALS weren't making the money for them.

I would love for more American made stuff to be out, but I think the glory days are past for massive amounts of FAL kits and parts.  Still alot out there, but selling quickly.

Just my amateur opinion.

Ive emailed tham on several occasions looking for smal parts that werent advertised.  Everytime I asked, they had it.
My guess is, they just dont have a huge quantity of these parts so they dont bother putting them in their catalogs.

You can also check out their website for stuff that's not in the printed catalog.

They are sponsers here now, I've seen the banners in GD.  Bought quite a few FAL and AK parts from them with ease in the past.

They used to be big in FAL stuff, but they made a fast exit when kits started drying up. There were a couple of instances of fishy advertising, like "buy them now for $130 before we're sold out". Then two weeks later the price dropped on FAL kits from other vendors and TAPCO too. I remember Buddy doing some behind the scenes maneuvering on the FAL files before going to AK47.net with his advertising dollars. Nothing wrong with most of what he did, at least from a business standpoint. My Grandmother used to say if you can't say anything nice about a person, say nothing. On that I have nothing further to say about TAPCO/Buddy.

They don't have as much surplus stuff any more but they do still carry a bunch of aftermarket and "US" parts.
