Just wanted to show off my brother's custom version of the AUG-Z (for civilian;
this version has become legal here a few weeks ago).

He had it cut back to 16" and the barrel profiled:

As much as I like my OA15-M4gery, but the weight and compactness makes
me wish I had bought an AUG-Z instead. The S&B Short makes a heavy sucker
out of my carbine, whereas the added weight isn't THAT noticeable on his.

I can only hope DSA gets on the ball and produces an AUG for us.

If Karl Walter is listening bring that Aug to the USA and I will buy a couple for sure at 1755 Euro or 2000 bucks its a winner. The Aug is the finest bullpup combat rifle ever made, the FN2000 sucks frog water in comparison. I want one Baaaaaaaaaad!!!!!

10 and 42 round magazines cost the same, and 30 round magazines are cheaper?

Steyr probably made alot more 30-round mags than the 10 or 42-rounders. A good place for AUG parts and preban mags is PJs. They go for about $ 32 for the 30-rounders (green or black bottoms). Also, there is the NATO stock available which allows you to use plain old M16/AR15 mags.
