I just received my C&R and am looking at my first purchase. I have been thinking about a Star Model B. Does anyone have any experience with these? Are they all 9mm Parabellum?
My cousin had a Star PD which was a good carry gun. I have seen some of the Model B's on Gunbroker at not too bad a price. |
| Good shooters, accurate, somewhat on the heavy side for 9mm, single stack magazines, out of production so parts/magazines are expensive. Add some more $ and get a CZ compact. There are better deals on 9mms. Its basically a WWII gun that was very good at the time but definitely out dated now. Sort of like a Polish Radom. I've had a couple of Stars and never had a problem but eventually always traded them off. |

There is a big spanish pistol crowd over on gunboards.com, (well, may just a standard crowd, scroll down a bit for the spanish pistol forum, parts are available, from several sources, but the best source of info and parts is a guy who goes by the name STAR, great to deal with, if you need parts, |

It's not as accurate as my Beretta 92 but it is fun to shoot. Never had a problem with it as far as FTF. I don't have a carry permit so I can't comment that. For the price it is a nice pistol. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v137/sneaky603/STAR9MMLEFT.jpg" Looks like a nice one. Where did you find it? |
