My dad called and he is going to an auction this weekend. In the add there were 2 weapons he was going to look at. They were both 1873 Springfield Trap Door's, in .45-70. One was a Cadet model. I know a lot depends on condition. Does he need to look at any part of the guns in particular (barrel, receiver, wood)? If the condition is decent, lets say 80%, how much would you bid for them. Thanks for the help. eagle308us

Go to www.trapdoorcollector.com

Great site and lots of information there. I got to speak to Albert Frasca via email about my fathers 1873 trapdoor Springfield. He was very informative.

good luck
