Helping my dad get ready for a yard sale last weekend I found a neat toy in his storage building. He is a pack rat and keeps anything that might be interesting. Before he retired he helped his company throw away a lot of stuff. They bought a new hightech digital sound meter and said toss this analog meter in the trash. The wind screen is gone from dry rot but I can get another one for it.
General Radio 1982 Type 1 Sound Level Meter/Analyzer I don't plan on doing any commercial testing but this will be fun to play with when testing my suppressors. I am working up some new reloads for the .300BLK and can test using the chronograph and this meter to make sure they are staying subsonic. I just need to figure out what octave band settings to use to get accurate results. |
