I attempted to swap the factory gas lock with the Smith Enterprises socom gas lock but could not get it to thread onto my barrel. It would thread on about half a turn and then get pretty tight almost like it was being cross threaded. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't want to force it and F up my barrel threads. My factory lock threads on and off smoothly.
