The economical (yet still high-quality and "tactical") route would be to make one yourself using scrounged webbing, a Fastex-type buckle, and some HK-type attaching hardware.  CDNN normally carries the latter for cheap.

Other than that, it all comes down to personal preference...

I just made one for my 556.  It's not pretty but it works.  I got a 50 foot roll of 1 1/4 webbing off ebay a few years ago and have made a few 2 point slings.  I ordered a mash hook for the front and just used a USG sling slider on the rear.  If they ever come out with the eyelet for the classic stock, I will probably use another mash hook at the rear attachment point.  HERE is where I got the mash hooks.  This was the only place I could find that had free shipping for a pair of them.  I went with 1 inch instead of 1 1/4 and it fits the 1 1/4 webbing fine.  David

I got this simple HK sling off ebay for $19 shipped for my 556 Classic:

Nothing fancy, but I like the simplicity.

That bit of paracord at the end makes the rifle shoulder better.  If the clip is attached directly to the stock it gets in the way a little.

I have a Spec-Ops single point sling for my MSAR STG-556.
