I tried the NC star clamp method and it launched after 4 buck rounds downrange . Elzetta has a nice unit bu I would like just a simple ring to barrel mount if anyone knows one |

Brownells sells them as well for same price. a few months ago they were 25 bucks, when I got mine. Mine has been rock solid, and as simple as it gets...by the way, surefire fore end is as k.i.s.s. as it gets  not at all, and sorry but its way overpriced for a light.

I picked up a magpul forend and attached a rail onto it. Works great with a pistol mounted light and has been completely reliable and easy to use. Will cost you about $50. I also used a GG&G remington forend with rail mount. I prefer these sytems to the surefire forearm weapon light.
