I ordered 4 form 1 "packets" and not being sure they included the acual form 1 ("includes instructions, fingerprint cards and other material" no mention of the form itself) I ordered 4 of those also just to be safe. Today I recieved 4 form 1's (acually 8 individual forms since they need to be submitted in duplicate), 1 certification of compliance form, which is a photocopy (and a bad one at that) and an order form for "Requisition for Firearms/Explosives Forms" "to expidite my next order". No fingerprint cards. My question is, should I order fingerprint cards again (I'll need 8 cards for my 4 forms right? Two form 1's, 2 fingerprint cards and 1 certification of compliance per firearm) or wait and see if they are sent later since I ordered 2 "items" one being the packets and one being the forms? I think they might be trying to tell me something by sending me an order form "form" Also I'm guessing since they photocopied the certification of compliance form I can do the same? I know it's kind of a bonehead question but I'd like to get started on this and don't want to waste a whole lotta time gettin everything together. BTW I don't think I've typed/said the word "form" so many times in my life!

you could photocopy or print out the cert of compliance forms, no biggie. Ive done both. Yes you will need 8 print cards for 4 form 1 transfers to an individual. If you think youve got all of what you ordered, order more print cards so youll have enough. that way you can get all the print cards done at once. Im trying to visualize what you ordered and what you recieved. If I didnt have everything I needed, and didnt think it was going to come, I would order more of course. |

If you are doing all your form 1ns at the same time they can all go in with 1 set of print cards and 1 compliance card. If you are doing a mix of form 1ns and form 4s then you will need a set for each address package. Your print cards are comming but any dealer in your area has them also. Any of the forms you need can be downloaded filled in and printed from www.titleii.com |
Thanks for the replies guys. I had talked to my CLEO last week and he told me they went to electronic fingerprinting and don't use/have fingerprint cards anymore  . Today I talked to one of the other officers (whom I got one of the Form 1's for) and he found some "FD 258" 's/Applicant cards, blue ones (I seem to remember reading here about the blue ones being the right ones). The ATF ones say FD 258 LE. These card were last revised in '82. Same thing and shouldn't matter right? |
