Is there a easy way to tell the difference between generations of scope mounts? 1st vs 2nd vs 3rd.
Thanks

For M1A?

1st has only one point of comtact on the reciver. 2nd uses the clip slot of a second point of contact.

Sorry about that. Yes M1a-M14. So Mine must be a second generation. It has the screw-bolt that threads into the receiver and the clip slot. Any idea what it might be worth? I just got it for $25 and I think it was a good deal.
Thanks

If it is an Al Springfield Armory job.  It is worth what ever the going rate for Al at the slavage yard is going for.

25 is a good buy on it. Mine just kept shooting loose untill I  bedded the mount to the reciver side using PC 7, and some red loctite on the threads.
