Drill a smaller diameter hole in the center of the screw and use a small E-Z out (left handed tap)

Quoted: Well, I went and got me an EZ-Out and a tap to chase the threads, and when I was drilling the pilot hole for the EZ-Out Lo and Behold, the screw shaft decided to screw itself down into the receiver! Pretty much bottomed it out. For future reference, get yourself a set of these and let the screw/bolt back itself OUT instead of farther IN. |
