Took the Saker 762 out and popped my suppressor cherry today as well. First I sighted in my irons and micro T1 as I had the trifecta flash hider and a Govnah gas block installed just prior. I also made it a point to sight in as I wanted to see what the POI shift would be like with the can on. After the first trigger pull well you can see below I felt like I was 7 again and my parents got me the beginner chem set I wanted for christmas I was running on a .049 gas port setting and had no gas to the face, the recoil was near nothing and the sound of the 556 out the 10.3" barrel was deep toned and comfortable. Yes I was wearing ear pro yet have to say that initially while waiting I felt like what is the point of having a suppressor if you have to wear hearing protection but the recoil reduction and follow up shot ability due to the natural flinch being eliminated is worth it to me. As far as the POI shift I experienced a 1/2" shift directly high and was repeatable. In total I put about 120 rounds through her and after cooling down I was unable to get the can off but after some clockwise rotation in and a bit more cooling the can came right off. I will say that initially prior to installing the night before I put a coat of oil on the flash hider area that the can mount would be in contact with. Love the can and all I want to do is shot suppressed now.

Glad to see the DD MK18 Upper and Saker 762 combo is confirmed good. I was looking at my upper the other day saying "This is going to be close."

Congrats. Very cool,

Just got my first can last week a Osprey 45 and am waiting on my Saker 7.62 which hopefully will be approved soon as I ordered a month after my first one . My question is did you have any cycling issues and were you using reloads ?

My thoughts exactly.  I splurged and bought a nice set of electronic muffs.  Shooting is fun.  Shooting with electronic muffs is twice as fun.  Shooting suppressed is ten times as fun! I still wear the muffs during the summer to keep the bugs out of my ears and during the winter for warmth.

Nice simple review.  Can't wait to get my Saker.

What kind of range is that?  Looks like you can't see anything unless you sit down.

Sweet can!  You have just convinced me to get one.

As far as the thread being tight I always put a slight dab of "no seize on all threads" .  Really does help binding problems.

Very cool to see the first reports in the field. I can't wait to get mine and try it out compared to the SDN6. The 556 Sakers are great on my guns, I can only imagine the 762 being a bit better.

Goloud: have you tried the Saker series on your Mk18? I have 2 556's if you want to meet up and test it out before yours come back.

I have not. I may take you up on that, actually. If I need a spacer between my bbl and flash hider, I would rather have it ready to go than have to wait.

It is a bench outdoor range with cover so yes you only see through the seated shooting position.

Keep some leather gloves in the range bag to take the can off when it's HOT, probably the easiest way to prevent it from being stuck on. I'd put oil in the MAAD module, the teeth that lock on to the mount and the teeth that lock the module, as well as the taper surface.

Shooting suppressed is plain awesome and good manners too!

Send me a PM and we can get together. I've been putting off getting an MK18 upper to mount a Saker on, so it would be benificial for both of us.

Nice to see a review from an end user. If you get a chance would be very helpful to hear if the saker is repeatable when taking off and putting back on between shots. Would love to see someone shoot 5 shots unsuppressed, 5 with saker on the whole time and then 5 with taking saker off and back on between each shot.

I did not go into detail on it but I did do this with 3 shot groups and I had a 1/2" repeatable shift in poi vertically. I'm sure I could have been more scientific using a powered scope vs my 2moa T1 but I did a sight in on my T1 unsuppressed then my first shots suppressed videoed were 1/2 high and after a target change I went unsuppressed to suppressed and was repeatable. My next go round maybe I will throw on an ACOG and test it again; if I do I will post here
