I would appreciate any reports or observations on this can regarding sound, zero retention, POI shift, and any affect on accuracy.

Also, does it use a Gemtech Bi-lock mount or is it a SWR mount?

Thanks

I have one. Great can! It uses the SWR bilock, not sure if the gemtech will work or not.

My observations:
-used with 16" Mid length Sabre defense barrel, and Radway green.  Shot awesome groups with that set up, though when I removed the can I was shooting about about 2" high and right at my 25 meter zero. Thats all I have been able to shoot it.

Been pretty happy with it so far, great suppression.

Shot mine for the first time today on my MRP 10.5" (CL 1/7 twist LMT)!

POI shift was about 3/4"maximum to 10:00 at 50 yards.  Mounting and unmounting the can did not seem to affect it's zero at all.
Accuracy was apparently enhanced substantially by the can, but barrel break in may also be a factor.
Reliability was flawless with M855 and Mk262 ammo.
Sound supression was in a word, amazing!  No one present that heard it felt that hearing protection was necessary with Mk262 or M855 from a 10.5" barrel.

I've read that the Gemtech and SWR mounts are the same, the Specwar 2 mounts perfectly on the included SWR A1 style FS and appears to fit perfectly on the new style "phantom" Gemtech bilock (haven't shot it yet on one, checking back with Joe here in Georgia on that one).

As far as the can's appearance goes, it appears to be as well made as could be possible, and the finish on it is absolutely first class.

The Bi-Lock mounts used by Gemtech and SWR are the same: Both were made by GSL Technology, and the mounts are interchangeable between the two company's products. Gemtech inventories these in 4 different thread patterns.

This is SUCH a good idea.  I would like to see a move toward standardization on QD mounts between all manufacturers.  This is definitely a step in the right direction!

I love my SW2!! Its been a great can and performs flawlessly for me using XM193 and PP193 (Serbian M193). POI is small in my observations but I haven't shot it much past 100 yards yet....I did run it through a 3-gun match not too long ago and it worked like a champ and any change in accuracy was not noticeable to me during the match.

I have swapped it over to a buddies GemTech mount a couple of times and it locks on and works just the same (likewise his M4-96D shoots well on my SWR QD)

ETA - I have my SW2 mounted on a 11.5" BFI barrel that has been turned down to a light weight profile under the handguards by ADCO.

This can weighs in at 27 oz. doesn't it?  Just curious what users think of the heftiness.  It looks like a cool can, but I'd worry about how it would feel out there on a longer barrel.

The Specwar 2 is one of the bigger, heavier, longer, more robust and from what I've been told, quieter cans.  After 60 rounds semi rapid fire, it didn't look any different that when I mounted it, no discoloration, no finish burning off (like some of it's competitors).

Comparing the weight with a few other cans mounted, I couldn't tell a difference between it and the Omni, the M4-2000 seemed a little lighter, my OPS 12th too and ditto the Wolverine.

If you want a short and somewhat lighter can for say, a SBR, get the Wolverine, but if you want a QD can to be used on a variety of weapons, the Specwar 2 won't dissapoint.
