I recently aquired a SPAS-12 thats never been fired(or lubed for that fact). I noticed while dissasembeling it that these little pieces of amber colored plastic(or dried grease) were coming outta the barrel/chamber area. Upon final inspection in the back of the reciever there is a round area of this that looks like its maybe the buffer crumbeling away slowly. Do you guys this this is what it is? and if it is the buffer where would I find a replacement?

Try spas12.com ( yeah i can't hotlink ). I believe the guy over there makes replacement buffers, or at least he used to. They are famous for falling out, wearing out, you get the idea.

SPAS12.com no longer sells anything, Chris has simply vanished it seems.

I bought a new mfg. new-style buffer recently for $17, I'll send you an IM with some contact info.
