Just bought a SOCOM.  What mid-range optic would you reccommend for plinking/hunting?

I went with the Aimpoint ML-2 military red dot. To be honest, I found some clones that looked similiar but I have learned that you get what you pay for. It is great for the SOCOM because the rails are so far forward. Makes target aquisition quick and easy. The 4 mil dot is not as great as a 2 mil dot that I understand is now available (but pricier?) for long range targets. But I use this honey for shorter distances.

I also went with the Aimpoint ML-2.  It is fast, dependable, and tough.
