I'll likely use 9mm in a Walther or HK; and 45 in an HK; and maybe a Walther PPX in 9mm; and an HK 40.
I don't have any PCC's that can be suppressed. I guess I'm not sure what I will need to shoot these guns for pistons? EDIT: just found the chart on Sico's web page. Currently, I only need the 16x1LH, and most likely just one other in the future. |
I had a weak moment and bought a kit. I thought the all black pistons looked purdy..
I bought it because it saved me buying the metric threaded pistons, as I got browbeat into buying a, well a couple, 9mm Sigs. They had factory threaded barrels, and metric threads. Plus I'll get a USP45 Tactical down the road and will need that metric piston. While I think the box is rather cheap, made of cardboard, with no clasp, it will keep all my pistons together. As long as I use a rubber band. For the price I expected a plastic box with a way to keep it closed. All in all, I'm happy. YMMV. On edit: I bought my kit from Silencerco's online store, back when they send me an email that it was up in the store. |

The cheapest I found is $265 shipped. Is it a go at this price? I'd hate to buy a piston included in this kit and then have to get more down the road, when I should just buy the kit. I bought the piston kit from silencerco after coupon for $246.75. For me I think it's was worth it just starting out. I mainly wanted the .578x28 the 13.5x1 and .5x28 all for my osprey. Considering a regular piston is like $70, so once I got those 3 and the o-rings I would already be just about at the kit price. Plus the black just looks really good. I now also have the 2 other pistons. The metric.45 interests me a little if I ever get an H&K. I have no use for the .40 piston and am not interested in the caliber. |
