| I received and installed my SD conversion kit, the rubber grip feels a bit loose, any ideas? There is also 2 square caps on the top of the hanguard that cover 2 holes, I don't know what those are for, and the fall off so easily, I think I might lose them. The kit didn't come with any instructions, and I understand it's pretty self explanatory, but why don't you use the pushpin from under the barrel that held the original hand guard tightly in place?! Any help is greatly appreciated, Thank You. |
| This is what I did for my conversion. I separated the inner housing from the rubber grip housing. This allowed me to get the inner housing seated correctly on the receiver stubs. Note that the gip will need to mount on these stubs to be tight. I also had to to do this because I had upgraded the GSG-5 with a screw kit and I needed to grind down a little of the inner plastic housing because of the long screw that holds the cocking tube on was interfering with the SD Kit. Once the inner housing was fitting correctly I was able to slide the rubber grip on the GSG5 correctly. You'll need to remove the spacer screw under the barrel and once everything is in place, you'll need to thread that screw through the bottom hole in the Rubber grip. This should keep the grip from moving side to side. I purposely peeled off the two plastic 'caps' and re-glued them to ensure that I would not loose them at the range. Good luck! |
