Don't bother with them. Several years ago I had the 6x40 and SA 3rd gen scope mount and was unimpressed with both

I've got a 6x40 G'vnt model mounted on my AR10A4C, it's alright, the optics are clear and it's kept it's zero through approx 6k rounds,

the internal level broke loose and spins around inside though, and the range finder is calibrated to the hornaday 168gr BTHP at 2650fps, so you'll have to play around with hold over/under etc if you choose to shoot a different weight bullet/velocity that doesn't match the hornaday's trajectory.

If you'd like to get a 6x scope with the .308 calibrated reticle already, go for the Kahles ZF-95, I love mine to death especially with the range finder on it, works flawlessly, extremely clear and easy to use.

Not worth the money in my opinion.

There is a reason SA is out of the optics business. The 6X Govt was a BIG part of that.

I do have 2 friends with 2nd or 3rd(?) gen variables that like them.
