Is the SAR 3/ cal.223 the same as AK-74 or 5.45x54 same? Will the 5.45 rifle cycle .223?

NO !!!


The SAR-2 is a 5.45x39 rifle (AK-74), the SAR-3 is the .223/5.56mm Nato  
THEY ARE NOT interchangeable.

Thanks. By the way, Are the 5.45x39 rounds, blanks, etc....hard to find?

As pointed out already, 5.45x39 and 5.56x45 Nato/.223 are completely different rounds.  The 5.45x39 is fired in the SAR2/AK47 while the 5.56x45 Nato/.223 is fired in the AR15 and SAR3.  5.45x39 is not a blank, it is the AK74 round.  While I am sure you can find it in blanks, the 5.45x39 is a normal round.  As for availability, I am not sure.

yes, 5.45x39 is avail. at many places, check ads in SGN or some of the bigger retailers on the net.  last time I looked, Ammoman had some   OH, I haven't seen mention of Blanks for sale yet.

5.45 is easy to find if you know where to look.
