Does anyone know where I can find a replacement for the rear peep blade on my Ruger mini-14 Ranch rifle?  The part number is MS05210.

I have tried Brownell's and Gun parts with no luck. Ruger wants me to buy a complete assembly when all I need is a little sight blade.

Thanks.

The price list only shows a complete rear sight assembly MS25500 for $7.25.

I don't know why the exploded drawing shows just the peep sight blade as MS05210.  Maybe they won't sell you one because they don't sell them that way.

I'd say that you need to ask Ruger parts this question. <G>

You could order the rear sight from Ashley Outdoors.  I am sure you will be happier with it than the factory, a larger aperture and more adjustability.

Famous last words for a Ruger Mini-14 Ranch. You forget to fold the rear sight blade down before you put the gun in your case, and broke the sight leaf. Been there, done that. You could order a new rear adustable sight from Williams. Model number RGR-375. I bought mines from Natchez for something like $25(i think, don't remember for sure), but shop around for the best deal. Williams ads claims that it is made from super strong aluminum. You might have to bite the bullet, and buy the blude from Ruger if you don't want to layout the cash for the Williams.

The frustrating fact abou this whole thing is that the sight fell off while firing and I could not find it as much as I searched.  I told this to Ruger and they said that it was too long after the purchase to make a claim under warranty. I only wish they could sell me the replacement part and not the whole darn sight.
