I have a Ruger Mini 14 i purchased in late 1985.I've shot maybe 100 rounds through it, keep it cleaned and oiled and it has been kept in a rifle case since purchase.I keep the stock hand rubbed with light oil to to prevent drying. The rifle looks better than the Mini 14's produced today due to the fact the stocks back then were much better quality. There are no scratches or blemishes on the weapon.I was wondering on todays market what would be a good selling price.I have the original 5rd Ruger mag,an extra Ruger 5rd mag and about 8-10 30 round mags.Thank's for any help,David.

I'd say $600 for the package.

I sold mine a while ago and bought two 7.62 Saigas and a butt load of mags for them.

Converted one to "nasty" AK!

Come over to the dark side to my forum and see!

that brings to mind another question...Did Ruger make a "Factory 30 round mag?"

Yes, Ruger did produce factory 30-rd mags as well as other sizes besides the common 5-rd.
They may still produce them, or subcontract the building but for LEO sales only IIRC.
The pre-ban 30-rd mags are the best mags for the Mini, and quite expensive.

Here's a link to the PerfectUnion BB (a nice board, BTW) and their magazine photo gallery.  You will see that Ruger mags are stamped "RUGER" on the floorplate and on the side of the mag.  Beware of fakes.

Ruger factory 30 rounders in good shape I have seen at gun shows, the EE, and at local gun shops for $80 a pop. I saw some at the gun show this past weekend going for that. I would sell the gun and the mags seperately if I were you.

If you do buy mags, buy factories, they will be worth it in the long run. I bought my Mini Rancher just when the AWB was submitted to the House for discussion. I bought about 5 USA brand 30 rnd mags for it. Out of the 5, ALL of them had problems feeding. I had to take a file and clear a little off of the feedlip to get them to feed properly. USA Mags = pain in the ass...

I guess i'd be crazy to sell the rifle if the mags were they're USA brand.I went on ebay the other night and a guy had a factory Ruger 30 rounder but was listed as a 10 rounder with per ebay rules beside it.The current bid on it was $155.00.If i had 8 to 10 of the fact. mags, hell i would'nt have to sell the rifle..

The rifle is worth about $300.00. The mags are worth $60 - 80 each if Ruger factory. $15 -20 each if PMI, Precision, or Federal.  If they are USA mags you should use them as targets.

They are made in the Peoples Republic of China and they suck!  You would be throwing your money down the toilet.  Some one had posted a picture of one that broke in half.
