I was over at Surplusrifles and ran across Boyd's stocks there. Boyd's is selling military replacement stocks for the K31 made from standard grade American Black Walnut and you can special order for $70 extra dollars the same stock in laminated wood. They are 95% finished. BTW, Boyd's is in the process of making some military replacement stocks for Mosin's also. |

wow, that's pretty cool. May appeal to a lot that get the beater K-31s and don't like looking at all the dents. I think he or someone else made a nice replacement Walnut sporting stock for the M39's and M44s. I am really considering one if I go the mounting route on my M38. I really need a deer rifle this winter.

I just looked at Boyd's, they do offer a stock for the Mosin but it's not military configuration.

yeah that's the one I was thinking of. It's a sporter stock to make the mosin into a deer rifle. I think they installed one on surplusrifle.com and said it worked great. |
