Allright guys anybody got any tips for repairing this kind of problem. It is a small chip out of the rear edge of the stock abouth 1/16 wide by 1/8 long.

Help Please.

Also need low cost, GOOD, refinishing ideas for after the repair

sounds like a good case for some JB Weld.  Get it at Home Depot / Lowes in the glue section.  Actually any good thick epoxy should work.  As for refinishing, JB Weld is almost black might match pretty good if stock is original color.  Or paint the whole stock.  Cheap paint will rub / wear off, better paint will last you make the choice.
