A law is passed tonight.  You can only own one powder for handguns and one for rifles.  What powders do you pick?

I pick unique and 3031.

You?

I would have to think about it, but I would pick 2230 over 3031. 3031 flows like goo in small neck cases.

I don't load rifle.

BE-86 for pistol. Maybe Power Pistol.

My supply will last for some time, so won't affect me for awhile.

I think if I had to pick right now it would be

TiteGroup and Varget.

I much like dryflash have worked very hard and smart to have enough components that I don't care what could affect me for a while.

[#9]
I'd become an outlaw

Choices are always better, Titegroup would cover most of my need, bet I'd probably have to go with Power Pistol or CFE to cover 357sig/10mm.  I'd have to stop shooting 454 Casull, and that would not make me a happy camper.

Varget would be a good rifle option, but does nothing for me when it comes to 300 blackout

I'm good to go right now but I'd pick RL15 and Ramshot Silhouette.

Titegroup and WIN 748
6/17/2016 12:01:06 PM EDT

8208 XBR for rifle and titegroup for pistol.  at that point 300 blk is screwed though.....

TAC and Titegroup

Pistol = Red Dot (works for shot shells too)
Rifle = H335

TAC and HP38.

Would be just fine except I would miss H110.

TAC and HS-6.

I too, will miss H110.

This.

Sucks that I wouldn't be able to use TAC any more though.

Pistol: Universal
Rifle: H4895

Imr 4895
Titegroup

This still leaves a LOT out.

No 300 blackout, 357

And the idea of gun powder becoming illegal came on a gun board?

Rifle only.

XBR 8208, by the 55 gal drum full, love that powder.

I'm not sold on any particular rifle powder at this stage in my reloading "career." Probably TAC though.
Pistol? I am a fan of Power Pistol, 231, Clays, Universal, and True Blue... I guess if it came right down to it I'd have to go with True Blue.

Unique for revolver and...and...dammit. I load for a dozen and a half rifle cartridges so that's a difficult question. Pin me down and I'd likely stick with Re-15.

#5 and 2230

Probably Unique and (man that's hard to pick) ...

RL15.  Maybe....

This is a challenge? Actually it's how I've been reloading for 7 years now - lol

Win 231/HP-38 for all pistol calibers, H-335 for .223.

One caveat, I am happily a 'mid' range reloader with no need or desire to venture into experimenting or max bang territory. NOTHING wrong with that of course, just not MY thing.

Having just the one pistol and one rifle powder DOES substantially reduce the possibility of using the wrong one by mistake. I like simple in my retirement years.

WSF for handgun

Ram shot tac for rifle

[#35]
I see several of you pick TAC and Titegroup.  My local store just got in some Titegroup.  I have never tried it, what calibers do you use it on?

Also I just ordered some TAC for my .350 mag., what other calibers is it good with?

Tks,
ST

Won't win any matches with either, but Bullseye for pistol and BL-C2 for rifle.

I can find load data for just about every caliber I load for, save 5.7x28, with these two powders (as long as I don't get picky with bullet weight on the rifle side).

Unique and WC860... can you say, "Duplex Loads"?

Honestly, I'm thinking Longshot and Power Pro 2000-MR.

That covers 9mm-44 Magnum (300 BK too...), 2000MR for .223-300WM...
