| I'm needing the OAL on 30-30 loaded with 150gr PSP. Yes this for use in a bolt gun. And should I go with 3031 or H4895 at what starting point? |

There is no good reason to crimp 30-30 for use in a bolt action rifle unless it is tube fed. The 30-30 has a lot of neck tension more than twice what some popular rifle calibers have.
In the bolt gun the 30-30 is like any other caliber. Adjust your OAL to what you want. If you can get .010" off the lands, touching the lands, what ever go for it. I've had real nice results with Leverevolution powder and the FTX bullet. It really is a large boost in performance for the 30-30 Win. |
