[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Quick question on model differences of PTR...

Are all of the PTR-91 models the same mechanical parts? It looks like it to me. They all list match grade barrels and etc.

I am wanting to order the GI model with paddle release. I don't care about furniture as I will be swapping it out. However I don't want to short change myself if there is aspect I cant see.

The A3R and A3S models have non HK barrel threading. I believe 5/8x24.
The FRs have a bull barrel that is also match grade.

Of course barrel length is different for the carbines and pistols.

Our current PTR GI, A3S and A3R all sport the upgraded Paddle Mag release and the new Thread pattern that allows a wider variety of muzzle brakes

Are the internal parts any different quality? Are the bolts the same? Fit and finish and barrels quality the same?
