I was thinking today for some reason (which i believe is correct) that when you have a registered receiver you can put whatever upper on it whether its less than 16" or not since the receiver is already registered.  Then I was thinking about a RDIAS.  Since the receiver is not registered wouldn't you need to register it as a SBR in order to put a 10.5" upper on it with stock for example. I have been mulling over the pro's and con's of RR vs RDIAS and that one sticks out in my head. please correct me if I am wrong.

If you buy a RDIAS you can run any length upper you want to.  The RDIAS is considered a MG therefore any length barrel is legal.

While the RDIAS is installed, you can use any upper you want.

If you remove the RDIAS, you must first remove any sub-16" uppers, and keep them off while the RDIAS is out of the gun.
