When I bolt the safe down, I realize that I'm crushing the fireproofing (drywall) on the floor of thew safe.  Should I make the hole larger in this material so that the bolt is contacting the metal floor of the safe?  I'm thinkinh that if somehow you were able to rock it back and forth enough you could crush this material an make it easier to get a prybar underneath the safe.

Thoughts?

You want hard metal to metal contact.  This can be done by cutting away some of the gypsum, stacking washers in the existing hole, or using a heavy walled pipe similar in diameter to the existing hole.

That's what I was thinking, just wanted to make sure it was the right way to do it.

Thanks
