I have a new in the box Oly CAR-15, it is a nice gun. Was built and tested by them back in 1988 due to me complaining about previous problems with other weapons I had ordered. Anyway, my question is: I have seen some posts on this site indicating that Oly will replace my cast lower with a forged one, is this true? Is there a specific person I need to talk to at Oly? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If the person who answers the phone can't help you, then I think a guy there named Tom can.  From what I remember, they charge $99 to replace the lower.  You will have to give them some lead-time to do the custom serial number.z
