For you guys that are FFLs as a side gig, how do you deal with having firearms shipped to you when you are not on premises to receive them?  Is there a way to have everything sent to you held at the post office or UPS/FedEx sort facility?

I work nights  at my full time job, so I'm usually around when USPS, FedEx deliver to the house during the day
Sometimes they run late and show up after I've gone from work.
The UPS hub has my phone number on file and I swing by the hub during their late evening pick up hours for any missed packages.
FedEx is not so easy because all of their undelivered guns get sent back to their hub in the next city.
For those I have the package held at the local FedEx drop point the next day.
My biggest issue lately has been my current USPS guy. The old guy would walk packages to the door and we'd talk guns. The new guy makes no effort to deliver the package and simply throws a delivery card in the mailbox, meaning I have to run to the post office the next morning to get the package
Then I get a phone call from some customer who's been tracking his box and wants to know why I wasn't there to accept it so he can run right over and pick it up.....

Frankly it's a PITA.  Yes you can have a different mailing address at somewhere like a UPS Store, but then...
- you will find that some distributors refuse to ship anywhere but the premises address.
- you will find that some packages get shipped to your premises even though you mark on the FFL "SHIP TO MAILING ADDRESS ONLY".
- you will find that F5'er transfer customers go nuts seeing that their package is "out for delivery" and then later goes back to the UPS/FedEx/USPS hub.
- you will find that some packages get shipped with no insurance or signature required to your premises, so you arrive home to a stack of firearms sitting on your front porch.
